WEBINAR ON THE EFFECTS OF COVID-19 ON THE PROCESSED FOOD SECTOR IN EUROPE

As part of its capacity development support to partner BSOs in response to the Covid-19 crisis, SIPPO South Africa has organised a virtual roundtable meeting to be attended by officials from four BSO partners on 30 June. This follows a survey undertaken by SIPPO with its BSO partners recently on the problems and challenges being experienced by the BSOs and their member companies as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the interactive webinar two SIPPO international sector experts from the processed foods sector will share their knowledge and insights on the current and future effects of the pandemic on the processed food and organic sectors in Europe. At the same time BSOs will be given the opportunity to share their experiences on the impact of the crisis to their companies.

There will also be an exchange between the BSOs and experts on where opportunities exist and what the competitive advantage is for South Africa for each opportunity, including exchanges on the way forward.
