WEBINAR ON EXPORT OPPORTUNITIES AND TRENDS IN THE NORDIC REGION FOR COSMETIC INGREDIENTS, HOSTED BY THE DTIC

BSOs and their cosmetic ingredients’ companies gained valuable market information on the Nordic market during this webinar, held on 30 March 2022

Following SIPPO’s capacity development and coaching support to partner BSOs for the implementation of events using virtual platforms, the dtic, presented this webinar in collaboration with SIPPO, Open Trade Gate Sweden (OTGS) and the Embassies of the two respective countries.

Participants were able to benefit from the findings of research undertaken on the trends and export opportunities for these ingredients in the Nordic region. This included import statistics, the market size and developments, regulations and requirements, as well as the importance of compliance with sustainable sourcing in these markets.

This webinar is one of the steps in preparation of the dtic’s virtual selling mission to the Nordic Region, which will take place during the 2nd quarter of this year. Nearly 30 officials from three partner BSOs, together with their companies producing vegetable and essential oils for use in cosmetics products, were able to gain valuable knowledge and insights into these markets.

This initiative is one of the dtic’s ongoing efforts to promote and increase exports to the Nordic Region, with Sweden having been identified as a priority market. This builds onto the BSO’s virtual selling mission to Sweden in 2021 and participation in the Natural Products Scandinavia Trade Show in Malmö in 2018.
